Meet Jake the Owl!

The past few weeks have been exciting! I got to meet some owls, began showing my work at the farmers market and finished a new pet portrait!

Hello! The past several weeks have been very eventful!

First, I started and completed a new pet portrait of Pebbles the Yorkie. I also have uploaded a short video of it up on youtube! Check it out if you like!

I have had a few health altercations in the past few weeks, so my posting has been scattered, though some how I am keeping up. During all this, I attended 7B Sunday up at Schweitzer and got to meet people many in our local community. It was a fun and bustling day on the mountain, and absolutely gorgeous outside! I was also accepted into the Sandpoint Farmers and Artisan Market the same week, and will be there locally for most of the summer every Wednesday night and Saturday mornings excluding a few dates. I have spent much of the past two weeks getting ready for my many large shows this summer! The first, July 22-24 (during my birthday, woo hoo!) will be at the Ponderay Garden Center. To get ready for these events, I have been working on new products! I have been rolling out bookmarks and large prints to prepare for these shows!

In the photo area of my work, I got the opportunity to meet some owls being cared for by a member of Idaho Fish and Game. It was an awesome opportunity to learn about raptors and owls and I was able to take a bunch of nice, full resolution references for my work. Exspect some owl paintings in the future. In the 2 hours I was there I took over 200 photos of 3 owls. Whoops! The good news is that about 25% of them are usable was able to add 34 of them to my free stock photography for all you artists out there to use! You can find them here. I had to keep a few for myself of course. If you are interested in a physical print to hang as is of any of those photos, feel free to contact me and I can set you up with one in my Etsy shop!

Finally, I have openings for commissions in August, September and October. I have limited slots and am also opening a single commission in September for a discounted full body fursuit. Get your slot sooner than later before you lose it! If you are interested in some custom artwork, I have a contact form and pricing on my Commissions Page. I’m happy to work in most subjects and mediums. If you are unsure about something, just ask! I hope to see you around one of my shows locally this summer, or maybe even at the Farmers Market!
